Attorneys handling Fresenius heart attack lawsuits offer answers to frequently asked questions regarding the recent Fresenius Naturalyte recall.
St. Louis, MO September 30, 2012
The Onder Law Firm, which represents persons who have suffered as a result of a dangerous drug or defective medical device, recently launched a website offering information about Fresenius Naturalyte recall lawsuits and have just updated the website with answers to frequently asked Fresenius recall questions and its link to an increased risk of heart attack. The FDA issued a GranuFlo recall on June 27, 2012 (http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/Safety/ListofRecalls/ucm309990.htm). The FDA GranuFlo recall notice stated that GranuFlo "may cause serious adverse health consequences, including death." The FDA Fresenius Naturalyte recall followed a GranuFlo Heart Attack Warning the agency issued on May 25, 2012. Persons, and the families of those, who suffered a heart attack after having dialysis where Naturalyte Liquid Acid Concentrate or Naturalyte GranuFlo Acid Concentrate was used may be entitled to damages under a Fresenius heart attack lawsuit.
Fresenius Medical Care of North America is the largest operator of dialysis clinics in the United States with approximately 1,800 locations and a major manufacturer of dialysis medical products. Naturalyte Liquid Acid Concentrate and Naturalyte GranuFlo Acid Concentrate are used with a dialysis machine to cleanse the blood of toxic waste materials. The New York Times reported that Fresenius sent an internal memo in 2011 to health directors and attending physicians warning that GranuFlo could increase the level of bicarbonate in the bloodstream, increasing the risk of heart attack, but did not report this information to the FDA or warn its patients (nytimes.com/2012/06/15/health/fda-investigates-fresenius-for-failure-to-warn-of-risk.html).
The Onder Law Firm welcomes inquiries from law firms in regards to handling or working as co-counsel on Fresenius Naturalyte heart attack lawsuits.
